Stress and Anxiety  “Stress is a physical, mental, or emotional response to events that cause bodily or mental tension.”

A staggering 75% of the UK population are experiencing some form of stress daily!  Work related stress accounts for over a third of all new incidences of ill health.

The benefits of breath work and relaxation

Breathing has the biggest impact on our Physiology, our physical, mental and emotional state Relaxing, calming, good exercise to do before or after a stressful situation Great sense of well being, aids you to take control of erratic breathing Calms nervous system, calms an agitated mind Improves circulation, as oxygenates the blood, energizes and invigorates Breath work soothes you, detoxifies, releases toxins and impurities Mind, body and soul are balanced Concentration levels are enhanced.

Some questions for you to coach yourself on, take some time over your answers and make notes

How do I know when I am stressed?

What causes my stress? What helps me destress? Where does the stress happen? (environment)
When does it take place? (is there a build up?)
How do I respond?
Where do I feel stress in the body?
What are my negative thoughts? (What am I thinking?)
What positive thoughts can I think instead?
What is the worst that can happen?
What am I doing?
What is the learning here?
