Not only busy on winemaking front, Hambledon Vineyard has now thrown open its doors to offer wine lovers, local companies and local groups a range of opportunities to visit and experience the beautiful setting in the South Downs.
Hambledon is open for tours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the summer from 2pm. Guests experience and in-depth and fascinating journey from grape to glass with one of the specialised Hambledon team. Booking in advance is essential and costs £10 per person, with the ticket price redeemable against any wine purchases.
Sparkling Wine Workshops
Charismatic wine expert Joe Wadsack visits the estate every few months to guide guests through a tutored tasting of different Champagnes and sparkling wines. Focusing on the different levels of sweetness in sparkling wines and how this is achieved, Joe and Ian Kellett then work with each guest to disgorge their very own bottle of Hambledon Sparkling Wine, add their own preferred level of dosage and finish the bottle with a cork, wire, foil and label ready to be taken home and enjoyed! Workshop tickets cost £66 per head.
